1. Right of Appeal
Any applicant or member whose membership application or bereavement assistance request is rejected has the absolute right to lodge a formal appeal within thirty (30) days of receiving the written decision notice.
2. Independent Appeals Board
Appeals are heard by an independent three-person board consisting of a community imam, an experienced legal counsel, and an elected member representative who had no involvement in the initial case decision.
3. How to Submit an Appeal
Appeals can be submitted directly from the case details screen on the member portal or emailed to support@funeralshareusa.com with supporting documentation and reasons for reconsideration. A final binding determination will be issued within fourteen (14) calendar days.
